Ejnana Trust is a registered non-profit organization based in Bengaluru, working primarily on activities related to Science and Technology. The trust was established in 2016.
The creation and effective distribution of Science and Technology content in Kannada are among the top priorities of the trust. We have been publishing such content online for many years now, on our website www.ejnana.com. Originally started as a blog by Srinidhi T G, ejnana.com was recognized as ‘the most outstanding blog in Kannada’ at the Indian Blogger Awards 2017.
Even though ejnana.com started with the majority of its content dedicated to Information Technology, it has of late diversified into different branches of science. Articles are regularly published on topics as varied as Information Technology, gadgets, biology, space, environment, mathematics, and healthcare. Short videos (only related to Information Technology, at this time) are also being produced in collaboration with an external organization and are published along with the transcript on ejnana.com. Reviews of books related to Science and Technology are also published regularly.
The trust also organizes Kalikege Koduge (gift for learning) program every year, where books related to Science, Technology, and Kannada language are given away to primary and high schools across Karnataka with support from donors. This program intends to ensure that students learn Kannada well, right from the beginning, and also start appreciating Science and Technology content in Kannada.
As part of this program, Ejnana Trust has also published several Kannada books related to Science and Technology. In an attempt to make knowledge freely available to everyone, most of these books have been published under Creative Commons licenses.
